A Word From Sandy – February 2017

By: Sandy Furuya
I will soon begin a new chapter in my life at Wamhoff, a journey that has spanned over 37 years and delivered a great deal of change and growth within the firm. Through the years, my role has developed, and I’ve been honored to work alongside my brother, who has served as a mentor and source of support for me. He’s always placed a great deal of trust in me, and knew that when it came to the accounting side of our business, he could count on me. Today, he’s taken that trust to a whole new level as I officially take ownership of Wamhoff Accounting Services. I am so excited, and look forward to what the future holds for our clients and team.

When we started the firm (and many of you were with us way back then!), our focus was to assist small businesses with their accounting and tax needs, providing superior service and professional advice to help them reach their goals. To this day, that focus has remained the same. My team and I work each day with clients to help them better understand their business needs, their tax situations, and what they need to do to plan appropriately. We’ll continue that commitment into the future, and always look for ways to enhance our service, making us a trusted resource for clients and their businesses.

Working closely with Bob all of these years has been among the most fulfilling experiences of my life. We have a great professional relationship, and have always been able to separate our work from our personal lives. People have always asked if it’s hard to work with your brother, but I’ve always responded that I wouldn’t have it any other way. The great news is that Bob will still be very involved in the business for the next four to five years, but the even greater news is that he’ll be able to start slowing down and enjoying time off with his wife and grandchildren. He’s worked hard all these years, and deserves an opportunity to step back and celebrate all he’s accomplished. I know I have big shoes to fill, but I’m looking forward to the challenge!

Thank you for your continued commitment to Wamhoff. I value your business, and the relationship we’ve built over the years. My staff and I are here for you, and look forward to serving you well into the future.
